The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Faro got free with Duarte Dantas in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 minutes, Nuno Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alhandra and the SC Zimbreira players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Sousa in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Tiago Henriques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Alhandra's Albertino Araújo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Zimbreira. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Joaquim Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Zimbreira's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Dantas having to interfere.
