Thanks to some nice moves Adelino Torres could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Ricardo Nunes however easily saved by the left post. Ricardo Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Maia in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Montais's Eduardo Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute Sérgio Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Eduardo Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montais fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Montais's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Maia came free, but Ricardo Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Sérgio Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Matos in the 49th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Matos was the one to do the kick off. Cristóvão Fernandes was a little too slow when Eduardo Matos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-3. A collision led to Trabalhia getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Carlos Gonçalves hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Adelino Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Nunes. Montais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adelino Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Matos in the 74th minute of play forced Trabalhia's goalkeeper Cristóvão Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Trabalhia's André Carneiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 84th match minute, Trabalhia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Montais's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
