Afonso Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Refugio FC. One of Montalvao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Refugio FC:s goal. Rogério Tavares's late challenge caught a Montalvao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Moniz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Refugio FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Montalvao's Afonso Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Moniz in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Montalvao's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Moniz came free, but Afonso Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Lucas Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
