When Diogo Neto fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baldio FC's protests and gave Diogo Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Diogo Neto hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to Routar FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Artur Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Filipe Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Macedo during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Macedo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd match minute, Routar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Baldio FC booed when Routar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Pedroso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 29th minute Artur Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Pedroso in the 30th minute of play forced Routar FC's goalkeeper André Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Carvalho having to interfere. Ricardo Pinho hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With 37 minutes on the clock, Diogo Neto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 41 minutes into the match, Miguel Borba notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Routar FC's André Carvalho. André Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, António Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baldio FC and the Routar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, António Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Baldio FC's Lucas Castro got control of the ball when Alexandre Moniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Baldio FC's Mário Alves got a free kick in the 54th minute. Lucas Castro made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Alexandre Moniz sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Miguel Borba came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Baldio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Borba couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Mário Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Routar FC's zone, Ricardo Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Carvalho came out of the goal and Ricardo Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 played minutes Routar FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Ribeiro. Ricardo Pinho took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Carvalho. André Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Alexandre Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Castro having to make a save. Baldio FC's Mário Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Miguel Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baldio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Borba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Baldio FC were the better team. Baldio FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
