The referee ignored Talhas FC's protests and gave Nuno Pedroso a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Carqueijo's Gaspar Domingues got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Álvaro Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Carqueijo's Gaspar Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. António Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Talhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Amaral came free, but António Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Gueifão during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Talhas FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Bernardo Gueifão hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gaspar Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Carqueijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Cristiano Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Pires having to interfere. The referee ignored SC Carqueijo's protests and gave Sebastião Marques a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Talhas FC booed when SC Carqueijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gaspar Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Domingues in the 73rd minute of the match. Gaspar Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
