Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Goncinha FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Óscar Queirós hit a great ball. The supporters of Lumiares booed when Goncinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Bento Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Neto's late challenge caught a Lumiares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Neto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th play minute Bento Pinheiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vasco Macedo. 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Júlio Ferreira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 19 minutes in the game, Bento Pinheiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vasco Macedo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Goncinha FC's zone, Júlio Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Macedo came out of the goal and Júlio Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the game, Lumiares's Bento Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vasco Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Júlio Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Júlio Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lumiares's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Henriques in the 36th minute of play. Jorge Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Mota hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Cláudio Lima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vasco Macedo skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Júlio Ferreira made the kick off in the second half. If Bento Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Bento Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, António Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Simão Reis, 2-1. Lumiares's Júlio Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Henriques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Henriques in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simão Reis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jorge Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
