Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Heitor Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eusébio Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santarem's protests and gave Eusébio Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. When Santarem's Gonçalo Baptista in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monsul's goalie prevented a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Monsul's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Baptista came free, but Joaquim Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Heitor Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Araújo in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Santarem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Monsul's Heitor Matias made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filipe Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Monsul getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Filipe Leiria hit a great ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Gonçalo Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santarem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monsul's Heitor Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Santarem's zone, Heitor Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Miranda came out of the goal and Heitor Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Baptista to make the kick off. A collision led to Santarem getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Afonso Almeida hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santarem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monsul the free kick. Gonçalo Baptista hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Heitor Matias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Miranda having to make a save. Gonçalo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Paredes having to interfere. Rui Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Martins during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. André Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Matias in the 72nd minute of the match. Heitor Matias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Miranda having to make a save. In the 77th minute Heitor Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Monsul getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Gaspar Lopes hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes, Santarem's André Delgado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquim Paredes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santarem reached it. André Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Matias in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Baptista in the 87th minute of play forced Monsul's goalkeeper Joaquim Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monsul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
