Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Milhundos's João Valente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Ventelharia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Martins to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Fonseca was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Milhundos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. João Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Jesus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Sérgio Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Correia having to interfere. Nuno Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Fonseca in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes, Armindo Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milhundos and the Ventelharia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Milhundos getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Armindo Paiva hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Rogério Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Abel Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Correia was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Milhundos's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Soares came free, but André Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Milhundos defense, Eduardo Matias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Correia. The Milhundos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Correia should have stopped the shot. Sérgio Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Soares in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Soares in the 72nd minute of play forced Milhundos's goalkeeper André Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Soares in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Sérgio Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
