Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Cumieira's Amadeu Setúbal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Armindo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 9 minutes into the match, SC Braciosas's goalkeeper André Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Freitas. A collision led to SC Cumieira getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Abel Guarda hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Domingos Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The nice shot from Manuel Freitas in the 16thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but André Vaz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Domingos Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Leão having to interfere. Domingos Sousa struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Gaspar Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braciosas. After a rather tough play, SC Cumieira's Cristóvão Setúbal got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Domingos Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, SC Cumieira's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Machado came free, but Gaspar Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armindo Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, SC Cumieira's Alexandre Gueifão seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alexandre Gueifão the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Cumieira protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alexandre Gueifão had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of SC Cumieira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Braciosas:s goal. The referee gave SC Braciosas a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jacinto Dias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Cumieira's Gaspar Leão. 2-1. Domingos Sousa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. SC Braciosas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Armindo Machado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. SC Cumieira's Manuel Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Cumieira's Gaspar Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Machado in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Vítor Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SC Cumieira booed when SC Braciosas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Freitas scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Armindo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. SC Cumieira were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Braciosas for a fine match.
