Helenos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Pedro Alves scored to the left of an out of position Cláudio Correia, making the score, 3-0. Paulo Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Machado in the 24th minute of play. Fernando Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Humberto Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Paulo Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
