Catarino Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Filipe Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Afonso Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corveiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Morais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Corveiros FC's Rafael Simões dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Cláudio Oliveira had to leave the field with a concussion. When Ricardo Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Guisande's protests and gave Ricardo Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Ricardo Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Catarino Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Guisande's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The tension between the Corveiros FC and the SC Guisande players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Corveiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Simões. Corveiros FC's Filipe Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Resende in the 42nd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Filipe Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 59 in the game by Catarino Esteves from a close distance when the talented Filipe Assunção managed to make a qualified save. Corveiros FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Esteves got free with Filipe Assunção in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filipe Moutinho's late challenge caught a Corveiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Moutinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes SC Guisande got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Moutinho. Jorge Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Esteves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 79th playminute. Jorge Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Filipe Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Afonso Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Corveiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Nunes couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes SC Guisande got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Viana. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Guisande's Jorge Resende slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Assunção. That made the score 1-2 after 92 minutes of play. In the 96th minute Jorge Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Guisande walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
