Eusébio Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Melo in the 9th minute of play. When Aguiar FC's Domingos Costa in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rome FC's goalie prevented a goal. David Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Augusto Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Costa in the 20th minute of the match. Domingos Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augusto Borges came out and tried to block the shot, but Domingos Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. When David Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Aguiar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Almeida couldn't finish the play. Delfim Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Eusébio Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Castro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Martins saved Aguiar FC from getting behind. Hélder Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Castro in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aguiar FC booed when Rome FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Martins came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Rome FC's Manuel Castro. But to his dismay, Manuel Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingos Costa made a kick off. André Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Martins having to make a save. A hard shot 57 in the game by Delfim Melo from a close distance when the talented Eusébio Martins managed to make a qualified save. Aguiar FC's players were relieved. In the 59th minute, Diogo Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was joyful for the audience to see Albertino Dias dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 61st played minute and put the ball into the net. 1-3. If André Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguiar FC's Eusébio Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Castro in the 66th minute of play. Augusto Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Rome FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Costa came free, but Augusto Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Augusto Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Costa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Domingos Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Rome FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
