Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Viana kicked off to start the match. Alexandre Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Rui Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vessadas FC. After a rather tough play, SC Goaes's Gabriel Ramos got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Mariano Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Vessadas FC's Luís Fernandes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Raul Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vessadas FC's protests and gave Raul Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Vessadas FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Ferreira. 19 minutes into the game, Eusébio Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vessadas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Goaes the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Vessadas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Goaes:s goal. In the 27th minute, Vítor Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute Alexandre Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marco Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Barbosa in the 34th minute of play forced SC Goaes's goalkeeper Rui Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Alexandre Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Coelho. SC Goaes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. SC Goaes's Rui Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Barbosa in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Vessadas FC's Vítor Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alexandre Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the SC Goaes defense, Vítor Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Coelho. The SC Goaes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Coelho should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SC Goaes's André Aleixo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Vítor Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Rui Coelho made a huge save. Marco Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Paulo Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Alexandre Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vessadas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Vítor Pinheiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Goaes's zone, Alexandre Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Coelho came out of the goal and Alexandre Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Marco Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Goaes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vessadas FC the free kick. In the 76th match minute, SC Goaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Vieira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vessadas FC booed when SC Goaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match, Alexandre Barbosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Coelho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st minute, Marco Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the game, SC Goaes's Mariano Bessa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
