Estarreja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Nuness short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Gustavo Paiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hélder Pires's late challenge caught a Fuzeta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Pires helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Estarreja FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Pires. If Manuel Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fuzeta FC's Gustavo Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Fuzeta FC from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Manuel Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fuzeta FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 1-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Pedro Santarém elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manuel Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fuzeta FC's Gustavo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Nunes in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estarreja FC had won after a very even match.
