A collision led to Salavessa FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cristiano Costa hit a great ball. Salavessa FC's Cristiano Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Adolfo Pedroso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Macedo. Salavessa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Pedroso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joaquim Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Macedo having to interfere. Nuno Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Campos in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Salavessa FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Oliveira Rocha hit a great ball. Adolfo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Macedo having to interfere. Salavessa FC's Nuno Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Campos in the 24th minute of play. Duarte Mota made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Vicente Costa sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Pedroso's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The supporters of Peleias booed when Salavessa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joaquim Campos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nuno Macedo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Joaquim Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Salavessa FC's Oliveira Rocha got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Adolfo Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Peleias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Pedroso couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Campos to make the kick off. Luís Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Nuno Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Pedroso in the 57th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Filipe Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peleias's Duarte Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Salavessa FC booed when Peleias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Melo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Mota. Peleias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Filipe Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salavessa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 77th match minute, Salavessa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Vicente Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristiano Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Pedroso got free with Nuno Macedo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Joaquim Campos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nuno Macedo, passed just outside the right post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
