Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Valente took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Veiga got free with Delfim Assunção in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. André Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Miguel Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Valente in the 8th minute of the match. João Amaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to SC Regueirinha getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nuno Veiga hit a great ball. With his leg Delfim Assunção managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Lajes's Gustavo Veiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the match, SC Regueirinha's goal looked a bit too open when João Amaro came free, but Delfim Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Leal's late challenge caught a Lajes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Monteiro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Francisco Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Delfim Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Amaro in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Veiga in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Regueirinha's goalkeeper Delfim Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
