Francisco Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Francisco Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Macedo having to interfere. Pedro Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Nuno Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Valente in the 22nd minute of play. Filipe Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Álvaro Martins hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, SC Regueirinha's Pedro Valente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Oliveira Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Delfim Assunção made a huge save. In the 59th minute Cristiano Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Regueirinha's goalkeeper Delfim Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Valente in the 65th minute of the match. When Cristiano Costa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Salavessa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Costa couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Francisco Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Macedo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Cristiano Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Salavessa FC's Vicente Costa got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Salavessa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Valente came free, but Nuno Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Macedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Valente went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Cândido Santarém's late challenge caught a Salavessa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cândido Santarém helped the player get up and apologised.
