Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Vaz started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Cavaleiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Viana came free, but Bento Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 played minutes, Cavaleiros FC's Catarino Correia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inácio Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cavaleiros FC reached it. 8 minutes into the game, SC Cuvetas's Cândido Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bento Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, SC Cuvetas's Inácio Borges got control of the ball when Delfim Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bento Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Viana in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cavaleiros FC's zone, Domingos Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bento Delgado came out of the goal and Domingos Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cândido Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cavaleiros FC's Bento Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Viana in the 27th minute of play. 0-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Cândido Lima elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Domingos Viana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Cuvetas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Inácio Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Lima made a kick off. With a little luck, Cavaleiros FC's Bento Delgado got control of the ball when Domingos Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, SC Cuvetas's Domingos Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bento Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Augusto Garcia lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Cavaleiros FC. Filipe Leal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Inácio Borges. 1-3. 61 minutes into the match, SC Cuvetas's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Amaral came free, but Inácio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Rogério Resende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Cuvetas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cavaleiros FC the free kick. In the 62nd match minute, SC Cuvetas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Resende to maneuver through the defense. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Delfim Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 played minutes SC Cuvetas got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Luz. In the 76th minute, Miguel Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavaleiros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The supporters of Cavaleiros FC booed when SC Cuvetas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Leal struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Inácio Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavaleiros FC. After a rather tough play, SC Cuvetas's Lúcio Correia got a free kick in the 86th minute. Cavaleiros FC's Bento Delgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Cavaleiros FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Vaz in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delfim Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Cuvetas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
