The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Morais during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave SC Macheira a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. In the 7th minute, João Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes SC Macheira got a freekick which was hit by João Faria. A collision led to SC Macheira getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Francisco Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, André Morais sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Macheira's Sérgio Miranda didn't even have to move. After 13 played minutes SC Macheira got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Brás. 16 minutes into the match, SC Macheira's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Reis came free, but Sérgio Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, João Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rodrigo Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rodrigo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Miranda having to interfere. Filipe Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Filipe Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Roucio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sérgio Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Cabral in the 71st minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of SC Macheira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Roucio:s goal. In the 89th minute Eusébio Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Roucio booed when SC Macheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Correia scored 2-3 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Macheira's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
