Jaime Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nuno Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Mota in the 7th minute of the match. If Jaime Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ricardo Faria hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Joaquim Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fábio Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pauso's Fábio Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes in the game, Carlos Leite fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rafael Rodrigues having to interfere. Rafael Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Mota in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Pucarica's zone, Carlos Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Rodrigues came out of the goal and Carlos Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Carlos Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pauso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Miranda hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Basílio Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pauso's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlos Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Andrade took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Rodrigues. Nuno Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nuno Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nuno Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Andrade in the 79th minute. After 83 minutes, Amadeu Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pucarica and the SC Pauso players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pucarica getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Amadeu Miranda hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Pauso's Afonso Azevedo tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fábio Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Rodrigues having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Pauso's Nuno Rodrigues got control of the ball when Jaime Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute Carlos Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
