If Mário Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Abreu in the 5th minute of play forced SC Folgoso's goalkeeper Pedro Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vicente Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedrosa FC's protests and gave Vicente Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Monteiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Adelino Almeida sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Leite skillfully saved the ball. Fábio Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Leite having to interfere. The supporters of SC Folgoso booed when Pedrosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Mário Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Folgoso's Fábio Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pedrosa FC's goalkeeper Hugo Leite, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Abreu in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Folgoso's goalkeeper Pedro Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes SC Folgoso got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Dias. Pedrosa FC's Oliveira Trindade couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Folgoso. After 46 minutes, António Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedrosa FC and the SC Folgoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, António Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Esteves was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pedro Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Leite having to interfere. With his leg Hugo Leite managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when SC Folgoso's Fábio Fonseca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Catarino Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hugo Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Esteves's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Pedrosa FC's Catarino Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fábio Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Hugo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Folgoso. Fábio Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hugo Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Folgoso players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pedrosa FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
