Diogo Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Figueiros FC's zone, Gonçalo Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Campos came out of the goal and Gonçalo Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Domingues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Brás read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Coimbra to make the kick off. Fernando Anjos struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lucas Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figueiros FC. Gustavo Vaz's late challenge caught a Figueiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Marco Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueiros FC's protests and gave Marco Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Figueiros FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. SC Lavegadas's Lucas Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Anjos in the 76th minute of play. After 89 minutes of play SC Lavegadas's Gustavo Vaz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 90th match minute, SC Lavegadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Domingues in the 92nd minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Figueiros FC were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Lavegadas for much of the match.
