Amílcar Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Soares having to interfere. Amílcar Veiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Eusébio Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Pedragosa's zone, Joaquim Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Soares came out of the goal and Joaquim Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eusébio Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Soares having to interfere. Eusébio Soares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Morais showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Francisco Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pedragosa fans jumped to their feet. Rodrigo Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amílcar Veiga's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Pedragosa's Jacinto Nunes got a free kick in the 79th minute. Pedragosa's Eusébio Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Morais in the 80th minute of play. If Francisco Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Marques in the 98th minute of play forced SC Almarginho's goalkeeper Rodrigo Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
