Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cristóvão Brás started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Brás in the 7th minute of play forced Paulinos's goalkeeper Abel Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Setúbal's late challenge caught a Espargo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paulinos's Carlos Santos got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute António Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joaquim Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Espargo FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Nascimento came free, but André Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Brás might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Brás ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Luís Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Paulinos got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Silva. 36 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Brás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Abel Ferro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélder Machado's late challenge caught a Espargo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Machado helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Paulinos got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Machado. 46 minutes into the match, Espargo FC's Paulo Guerreiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Amaro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, José Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulinos's supporters rose to their feet, but José Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, Espargo FC's António Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Ferro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. André Domingues didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Almeida went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Espargo FC's António Fernandes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 71 minutes in the game, fortunately Abel Ferro had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 73rd match minute, Espargo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Garcia missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 75 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the André Domingues right hand side. Joaquim Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Faria during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Paulinos booed when Espargo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Domingues having to interfere. André Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Paulinos's Joaquim Almeida got a free kick in the 91st minute. Paulinos's Abel Ferro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Paulinos from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paulinos's goalkeeper Abel Ferro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Setúbal's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
