When Fernando Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boleta FC's protests and gave Fernando Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Boleta FC's Fernando Baptista got a free kick in the 5th minute. Cristiano Lisboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but João Brito made a huge save. João Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Brito in the 8th minute of play. If Cristiano Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boleta FC's goalkeeper João Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristiano Lisboa scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Brito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boleta FC's João Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Boleta FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Pinheiro during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Torneiros booed when Boleta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, António Brito fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Brito, passed just outside the right post. If Cristiano Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute António Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Inácio Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torneiros and the Boleta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Boleta FC's Fernando Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Pinheiro in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Brito to make the kick off. A collision led to Boleta FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jacinto Garcia hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Brito in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alfredo Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Torneiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Boleta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Boleta FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Pinheiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Brito in the 80th minute of play forced Boleta FC's goalkeeper João Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. João Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Carlos Assis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boleta FC and the Torneiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Pinheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Moura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Boleta FC's Fernando Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torneiros were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Boleta FC for a fine match.
