The tension between the Soudes and the SC Estevais players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Soudes's zone, Nuno Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Amaro came out of the goal and Nuno Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Nuno Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Estevais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. João Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Coelho in the 25th minute of play. Nuno Rodrigues was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 37 played minutes Soudes got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Coelho. Cristóvão Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílcar Coelho was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amílcar Coelho in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Amaro charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Estevais fans cheered their team off the field, for while Soudes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
