Miguel Brás charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Brás the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Coimbra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delfim Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Domingos Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Alberto Santarém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almeidinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Almeidinha's Domingos Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Vaz in the 21st minute of play. Alberto Santarém in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Coimbra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jorge Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Manuel Guarda's late challenge caught a Almeidinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Guarda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coles FC's Manuel Guarda got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coles FC's goalkeeper Jorge Coimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Alberto Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A well placed Cristiano Anjos short distance shot in the 35th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 40th minute, Alberto Santarém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almeidinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Filipe Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Anjos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Anjos struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jorge Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almeidinha. Jorge Coimbra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Almeidinha's Nuno Fernandes suffered a concussion in the 90th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Sá during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Almeidinha booed when Coles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Coles FC's Miguel Brás slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Domingos Pinto. That made the score 5-1 after 94 minutes of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Almeidinha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Coles FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
