Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Anjos started the match with the kick off. Júlio Lima's late challenge caught a Almeidinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Lima helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Daires fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Almeidinha. Rui Martins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Pinheiro. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Almeidinha's zone, Alexandre Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Pinto came out of the goal and Alexandre Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Gueifão in the 21st minute of play forced Almeidinha's goalkeeper Domingos Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pinheiro having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Anjos in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Pinheiro saved Daires from getting behind. Almeidinha were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Daires's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rui Martins took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Anjos in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daires's Joaquim Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Cristiano Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Domingos Pinto made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
If Joaquim Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Almeidinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Daires:s goal. After 66 played minutes Almeidinha got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Fernandes. 67 minutes into the match, Alexandre Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Pinto. Almeidinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Viegas during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Delfim Viegas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Joaquim Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Domingos Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almeidinha's Domingos Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Ribeiro in the 75th minute of play. Cristiano Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pinheiro having to interfere. If Cristiano Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daires's Luís Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Anjos in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, André Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almeidinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daires the free kick. 92 minutes into the game, one of Almeidinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Júlio Lima walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 100thth minute of the game Joaquim Gueifão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almeidinha's Domingos Pinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Daires fans cheered their team off the field, for while Almeidinha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
