An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Martins in the 15th minute of play forced SC Caxaries's goalkeeper João Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. João Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Santarém took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Rocha. Afonso Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Sandro Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandro Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. André Faria hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Afonso Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Coelho in the 30th minute of play. SC Chapinheira's Afonso Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Chapinheira from getting a goal against them. Afonso Rocha made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cláudio Santarém sent off a good shot on target. If Mário Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Sandro Martins in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Oliveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Amadeu Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Caxaries booed when SC Chapinheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball.
