Eusébio Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Urgeira's Artur Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sérgio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Miranda having to interfere. Eusébio Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Vale's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. A collision led to Urgeira getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Delfim Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Humberto Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Vale in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artur Vale struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eusébio Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urgeira. Eusébio Miranda came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Urgeira's Artur Vale. But to his dismay, Artur Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Urgeira getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Daniel Maia hit a great ball. Amílcar Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sérgio Barros scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusébio Miranda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrique Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Henrique Cunha hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Forneas got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Tavares.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Vale to make the kick off. Heitor Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Diogo Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urgeira's Amílcar Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Miranda made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Sérgio Barros sent off a good shot on target. If Artur Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Sérgio Barros took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Eusébio Miranda to make any attempt to save it. 71 minutes into the match, Urgeira's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Pereira came free, but Amílcar Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Urgeira's Artur Vale in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Forneas's goalie prevented a goal. Sérgio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eusébio Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Sérgio Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Eusébio Miranda made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pereira in the 93rd minute of play forced Urgeira's goalkeeper Amílcar Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When António Alves fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urgeira's protests and gave António Alves a yellow card for diving instead. António Alves hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Amílcar Nascimento came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Forneas's Jorge Pereira. But to his dismay, Jorge Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
