The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heitor Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Heitor Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Monteiro having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Machado during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 minutes, Raul Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jou and the SC Vicoso players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Raul Amaral was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Eusébio Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Assunção in the 85th minute of play. SC Vicoso's José Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
