With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Brito in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Vieira saved Encourados FC from getting behind. Encourados FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Joaquim Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samouco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. In the 55th match minute, Encourados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense.
