Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Amaro started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Carlos Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Gaspar Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mendo's Carlos Amaro in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Figueiro's goalie prevented a goal. Gaspar Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Mendo's Eusébio Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaspar Miranda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mendo reached it. 25 minutes into the match, SC Figueiro's goalkeeper Gaspar Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Ribeiro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Ribeiro got free with Gaspar Miranda in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Luís Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Leão was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, SC Figueiro's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Amaro came free, but Gaspar Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mariano Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Queirós's late challenge caught a Mendo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. Domingos Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Basílio Ribeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 45th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Artur Setúbals short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Mariano Leão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 54 minutes of play, Mendo's Carlos Amaro made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! When SC Figueiro's Luís Nascimento in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mendo's goalie prevented a goal. Basílio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Basílio Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendo's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Basílio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Fernandes hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mendo's Rui Figueiredo got a free kick in the 76th minute. Inácio Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Artur Setúbal could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Mariano Leão however easily saved by the left post. In the 84th minute, Carlos Amaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Artur Setúbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mariano Leão made a huge save. Artur Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mariano Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Figueiro's Luís Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Setúbal in the 94th minute of play forced Mendo's goalkeeper Mariano Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Nascimento in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mendo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
