Daniel Araújo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Humberto Matos. Traveira FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 minutes, David Coimbra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Traveira FC and the Paredao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Traveira FC got a freekick which was hit by David Coimbra. After 21 played minutes, Paredao's Daniel Araújo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Matos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paredao reached it. Humberto Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Vasco Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Assis having to make a save. The supporters of Paredao booed when Traveira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Leão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Assis came out and tried to block the shot, but Vasco Leão slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. Vasco Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes Traveira FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Barros. João Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Vasco Leão could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Daniel Assis however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Gonçalves to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Traveira FC's Filipe Delgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Paredao's zone, Vasco Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Assis came out of the goal and Vasco Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Assis came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Traveira FC's Xavier Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Xavier Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Vasco Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paredao's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquim Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Traveira FC's players had a chance to rest. David Coimbra was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Traveira FC's Humberto Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Traveira FC from getting a goal against them. Vasco Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Assis having to make a save. Vasco Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, João Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paredao's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Daniel Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Paredao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Traveira FC fully deserved thier win.
