The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertino Gueifão during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amílcar Ferro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Terras's goalkeeper Humberto Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Machado. Rogério Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Cruz having to interfere. With a little luck, Terras's Humberto Cruz got control of the ball when Américo Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Terras's Humberto Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Terras from getting a goal against them. Américo Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Humberto Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Daniel Machado in the 43rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Humberto Cruz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Terras! Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

SC Catem's Adelino Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Catem from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute, one of Terras:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Terras. Humberto Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Neves's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Xavier Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Xavier Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terras's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Xavier Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Terras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Cruz couldn't finish the play. Lucas Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Adelino Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Joaquim Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Cruz got free with Adelino Antunes in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Américo Neves came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the SC Catem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Neves couldn't finish the play. Daniel Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Américo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Adelino Antunes made a huge save. Domingos Castro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joaquim Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Xavier Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 102ndth minute of the game Américo Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terras's Humberto Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
