Caminho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half SC Lavadores were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Silva to make the kick off. Eusébio Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Jacinto Mota when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Caminho's Jacinto Mota got control of the ball when Eusébio Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorge Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the match, SC Lavadores's Eusébio Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Antunes had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Fábio Carvalho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Caminho's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fábio Carvalho in the 76th minute. Manuel Sousa thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jorge Antunes, a very annoying self made goal in the 76th minute which led to 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Pinheiro in the 94th minute of play forced SC Lavadores's goalkeeper Jorge Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caminho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
