Aveiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Henriques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Francisco Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Simão Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Diamantino Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveiro FC and the SC Estreitinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Estreitinho booed when Aveiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Paredes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Simão Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Gonçalves in the 27th minute of the match. Francisco Henriques came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Simão Teixeira could save by the left post. Diamantino Valente was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Diamantino Valente hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Castro during the 46th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Gonçalves to make the kick off. Simão Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nuno Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aveiro FC's Filipe Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Luz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Luís Pacheco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Filipe Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Henriques in the 96th minute of play forced Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Simão Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Estreitinho's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
