Filipe Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Duarte Cruz made a huge save. Filipe Cruz hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to SC Gestinha getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. João Almeida hit a great ball. If Gil Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Filipe Luz made a precise shot to the right of Duarte Cruz. SC Gestinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Aveiro FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Catarino Coimbra hit a great ball. After 34 minutes, Catarino Borba made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Aveiro FC's Simão Teixeira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquim Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Simão Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Américo Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aveiro FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Américo Andrade hit a great ball. When Aveiro FC's Gil Anjos in 47 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Duarte Cruz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, SC Gestinha's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Anjos came free, but Duarte Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Borba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Simão Teixeira made a huge save. Catarino Borba had several of the Aveiro FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Simão Teixeira as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Aveiro FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Catarino Coimbra hit a great ball. Filipe Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Joaquim Matos struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Simão Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Gestinha. Gil Amaral hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, SC Gestinha's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Anjos came free, but Duarte Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Filipe Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aveiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simão Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Catarino Borba's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Duarte Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Aveiro FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joaquim Silva hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Fernando Faro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aveiro FC's Simão Teixeira didn't even have to move. Aveiro FC's Simão Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Borba in the 88th minute of play. Joaquim Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Teixeira having to make a save. Joaquim Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Mário Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Gestinha's Catarino Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Gestinha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
