Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Filipe Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aveiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, Rui Dantas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Simão Teixeira. Rui Dantas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, Amieiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Anjos came free, but Duarte Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lourenço Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute Rui Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Teixeira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bruno Morais. When Rui Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Amieiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Dantas couldn't finish the play. Simão Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Vicente Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. If Lourenço Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Rui Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amieiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duarte Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Dantas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Simão Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gil Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Carvalho having to interfere. If Gil Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Afonso Trindade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amieiro FC and the Aveiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonso Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Rui Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Valente's late challenge caught a Amieiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Valente helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Amieiro FC booed when Aveiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Vale in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, Aveiro FC's Gil Anjos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lourenço Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Simão Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filipe Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute of the game, Catarino Coimbra landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 87 minutes, Vicente Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amieiro FC and the Aveiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Amieiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André Coelho was slow to take the kick. During this time Aveiro FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that André Coelho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Duarte Carvalho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Filipe Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Duarte Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Carvalho came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Aveiro FC's Filipe Luz. But to his dismay, Filipe Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
