Amadeu Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Tavares in the 25th minute of play. If Armando Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Paredes in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Guarda saved Bicuela FC from getting behind. Paulo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Aljubarrota's zone, Gabriel Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Barbosa came out of the goal and Gabriel Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marco Barbosa made a huge save. Eusébio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Guarda having to interfere. A collision led to Aljubarrota getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Inácio Veiga hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Tavares made a kick off. Armando Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeu Guarda having to make a save. In the 53rd minute, one of Bicuela FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bicuela FC. Lourenço Machado shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The attack was good, but when Armando Paredes in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Bicuela FC's Adolfo Borba was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Barbosa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 69 played minutes Aljubarrota got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Veiga. Eusébio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Guarda having to interfere. Marco Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Barros in the 86th minute of the match. Marco Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bicuela FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
