Afonso Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vaz having to interfere. Afonso Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Paulo Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Paulo Santarém dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Vaz, 1-0. Rui Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomareis's Manuel Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Sistelo's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Lima came free, but Rui Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Soares struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sistelo. After having played for 39 minutes, Rafael Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomareis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Sistelo's Paulo Santarém ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Vaz. Pedro Vaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Lima was the one to do the kick off. Joel Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vaz having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Sistelo got a freekick which was hit by Joel Esteves. Manuel Pachecos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Rui Leite to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Sistelo booed when Tomareis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Leite having to interfere. When Tomareis's Afonso Lima in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sistelo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th match minute, Tomareis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Paulo Santarém made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Vaz. Tomareis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Tomareis's Rafael Baptista got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes, Sistelo's Bruno Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Vaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sistelo reached it. Paulo Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Pedro Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Afonso Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sistelo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tomareis had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
