The Cumieira fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Cumieira's Bento Leiria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Lima in the 7th minute of play forced Cumieira's goalkeeper Adelino Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Cumieira's Gabriel Barbosa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cumieira's Adelino Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Lima in the 18th minute of play. Adelino Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. João Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bento Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute of the match Lourenço Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Gonçalves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lourenço Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

If Bento Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cumieira's Gabriel Barbosa in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chacim FC's goalie prevented a goal. Adelino Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Lima in the 59th minute of play. Lourenço Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Adelino Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Sá having to interfere. Gabriel Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Lima in the 76th minute of play. Adelino Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes Cumieira got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Almeida. When Lourenço Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacim FC's protests and gave Lourenço Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. Adelino Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Assunção's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Bento Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Adelino Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 99 minutes, Carlos Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cumieira and the Chacim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
