Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 4 played minutes SC Barbacena got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Fernandes. Lucas Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Amaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 8 played minutes SC Barbacena got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Machado. Lucas Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Daniel Amaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Selho's Daniel Amaro threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Sousa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute, Tomás Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lucas Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mariano Machado fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Barbacena's protests and gave Mariano Machado a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes SC Barbacena got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Machado. After 44 played minutes Selho got a freekick which was hit by João Silva. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ricardo Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Barbacena's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half SC Barbacena were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 55 minutes, Armindo Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Barbacena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armindo Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Leal in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Basílio Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Selho and the SC Barbacena players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Selho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Barbacena:s goal. The referee gave SC Barbacena a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Vaz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Selho's Miguel Dantas. 1-3. After 63 played minutes SC Barbacena got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Machado. In the 64th minute, Lucas Barros made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Amaro. SC Barbacena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. João Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match, Ricardo Leal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Dantas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mariano Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Daniel Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Barros in the 77th minute of play. Ricardo Leal's late challenge caught a Selho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Alves during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. In the 99th minute of the match Basílio Pinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Amaro skillfully saved the ball. The SC Barbacena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Barbacena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
