Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Matriz FC's Fábio Baptista started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Nuno Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mário Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Américo Pedroso went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Nuno Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matriz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Matriz FC booed when Silvas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nuno Porto came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Matriz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Porto couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matriz FC's goalkeeper Mário Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Américo Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Ferro in the 31st minute of play forced Matriz FC's goalkeeper Mário Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Eusébio Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Vaz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Eusébio Ferro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gil Alves fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silvas's protests and gave Gil Alves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Matriz FC booed when Silvas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvas's Américo Pedroso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mário Cruz. That made the score 0-2 after 70 minutes of play. If Eusébio Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
