Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fábio Baptista kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Baptista in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Azevedo saved Macedinho from getting behind. Rogério Pereira's late challenge caught a Matriz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogério Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Matriz FC booed when Macedinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Fábio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes in the game, Fábio Baptista fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pedro Azevedo having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Matriz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Assunção came free, but Mário Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Matriz FC's zone, Luís Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Cruz came out of the goal and Luís Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 played minutes, Macedinho's Joaquim Cardoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mário Cruz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Macedinho reached it. When Fábio Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Matriz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Baptista couldn't finish the play. Pedro Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Assunção in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mário Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Macedinho's Pedro Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Baptista in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the game, Delfim Pereira landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 59 played minutes Matriz FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Fontes. Mário Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Vale in the 60th minute. When Matriz FC's Nuno Porto in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macedinho's goalie prevented a goal. Pedro Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Luís Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Macedinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Fábio Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fábio Baptista went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Simão Amorim's late challenge caught a Macedinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Matriz FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Simão Amorim hit a great ball. Luís Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Macedinho got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Cardoso. Macedinho's Pedro Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Baptista in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Macedinho getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Rogério Pereira hit a great ball.
