The supporters of Rapos FC booed when Soutaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Resende having to interfere. Heitor Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Resende having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, Rapos FC's Filipe Amaral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Resende was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Amaral in the 30th minute of play forced Soutaria's goalkeeper Manuel Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Resende having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Soutaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Amaro to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Delgado to make the kick off. A collision led to Soutaria getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Vicente Rocha hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Afonso Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Soutaria's Afonso Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebastião Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Rodrigo Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soutaria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 85 minutes into the match, Afonso Delgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Aleixo. Rapos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Delgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Soutaria's Rodrigo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Rodrigo Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Aleixo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
