An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Ricardo Guarda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Alves in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th match minute, SC Borbolega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Moura having to interfere. Ricardo Guarda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Carlos Fonseca came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Teixeira could save by the left post. If Nuno Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Anjos during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Borbolega getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jacinto Anjos hit a great ball. Ricardo Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Fonseca went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Azabuxo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Filipe Trindade hit a great ball. Daniel Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Moura having to interfere. Ricardo Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Fonseca went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Alves made a kick off. Bernardo Moura made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Nuno Alves sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Nuno Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Borbolega's Bernardo Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Borbolega booed when Azabuxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Azabuxo booed when SC Borbolega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Alves in the 89th minute of play forced SC Borbolega's goalkeeper Bernardo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ricardo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Borbolega had won after a very even match.
