The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristóvão Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Macedo in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ramalhal defense, Gil Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Jesus. The Ramalhal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Jesus should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Aparecida:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ramalhal:s goal. The referee gave Ramalhal a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspar Vieira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aparecida's Fábio Dias. 1-1. Gil Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Jesus made a huge save. Fábio Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Figueiredo in the 15th minute of play. António Henriques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Dias having to make a save. Augusto Pires's late challenge caught a Ramalhal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Pires helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ramalhal booed when Aparecida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Fábio Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramalhal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aparecida's goalkeeper Fábio Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Aparecida getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Augusto Pires hit a great ball. The supporters of Ramalhal booed when Aparecida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aparecida's zone, David Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Dias came out of the goal and David Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aparecida's Gil Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If David Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Macedo in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristóvão Jesus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cristóvão Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Macedo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Macedo in the 56th minute of play forced Ramalhal's goalkeeper Cristóvão Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gil Luz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Aparecida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Luz couldn't finish the play. Gil Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cristóvão Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Vieira during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Ramalhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Vieira to maneuver through the defense. If António Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramalhal's Cristóvão Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Macedo in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Gil Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Jesus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Aparecida's Delfim Pacheco got a free kick in the 88th minute. Gaspar Vieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fábio Dias. Aparecida's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Raul Andrade reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fábio Dias. The goal made the score 3-2. Aparecida's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
