Afonso Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Macedo in the 4th minute of play. Afonso Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Macedo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Lopes saved Girabolhos FC from getting behind. In the 15th minute of the match Cristiano Leal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fábio Dias skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Lopes having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Girabolhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Lopes. Adelino Lopes's late challenge caught a Aparecida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Girabolhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Lopes. In the 20th minute of the match Miguel Leão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Lopes skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aparecida's goalkeeper Fábio Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Augusto Pires fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aparecida's protests and gave Augusto Pires a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Girabolhos FC booed when Aparecida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Aparecida's goalkeeper Fábio Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Esteves. Fábio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Vieira in the 36th minute of the match. Augusto Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With his leg Fábio Dias managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Girabolhos FC's Cláudio Esteves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fábio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Vieira in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vieira in the 45th minute of play forced Aparecida's goalkeeper Fábio Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Vieira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Girabolhos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Afonso Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Luz in the 59th minute. Aparecida were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Girabolhos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Leão took the corner. The corner led Aparecida's Miguel Leão to fire away a dangerous shot which Afonso Lopes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the last second Afonso Lopes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Carlos Macedo in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gil Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Lopes having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Girabolhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Leiria to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Macedo in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Carlos Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Afonso Lopes made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Aparecida got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Pacheco. Joaquim Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Dias having to interfere.
