Lúcio Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Duarte Miranda made a huge save. Laracha FC's Carlos Pacheco pulled a muscle in his leg after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to SC Azedia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. David Simões hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, one of Laracha FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Duarte Miranda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A hard shot 42 in the game by Lúcio Santos from a close distance when the talented Duarte Miranda managed to make a qualified save. Laracha FC's players were relieved. Duarte Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lúcio Santos came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the SC Azedia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Santos couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Laracha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Brito came free, but Duarte Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Gonçalo Brito struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Duarte Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Azedia. Duarte Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Santos in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Leite during the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Laracha FC's Mário Oliveira got a free kick in the 86th minute. Duarte Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Coimbra in the 90th minute of play. Jaime Guarda hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Mário Oliveira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 93rd minute, Mário Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Brito in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that SC Azedia were the better team. SC Azedia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
